As soon as I heard she had a new microdermabrasion and light therapy machine, I knew I would have to give it a go!

I LOVE a good facial, and try to have one every 6 to 8 weeks. It’s an amazing pamper session for your skin – Catherine’s eléni facials are super relaxing and I love the massage techniques she uses on my face. Even better, I find facials keep my skin looking fresh and clear, and they definitely help your makeup to go on flawlessly.

The facial started with Catherine doing a regular cleanse of my face using eléni products, before she gave me the best exfoliation I’ve ever had using the microdermabrasion machine! It didn’t hurt at all, and I’m now three days post-treatment, and there have been no negative after effects (some people with sensitive skin might be concerned about microdermabrasion – I have sensitive skin, and it’s completely fine!).

The next stage of the process involved Catherine liberally applying collagen gel all over my face. This bit was strangely enjoyable! How often do you smother yourself in cool gel?! Then she used the light therapy equipment. This is really hard to describe! Again, not at all painful (in fact, quite enjoyable), but a sensation you’ve probably never felt before!

Finally, I had the crystal mask applied (see the stunning photo above!), and the light therapy equipment was used again over the top of the mask. To finish off, the gel is removed and your face cleansed again, before eléni moisturiser is applied.

Overall, it was a really relaxing experience, and my skin was so, so smooth afterwards, with a really obvious glow! The texture of my skin has definitely improved, and pesky blocked pore areas (nose and chin!) are clearer. I’m definitely planning to have this treatment again, and think it would be amazing for more mature skin!”
